Destiny One unable to create courses in Brightspace as inactive

We are having trouble getting Destiny One by Modern Campus to make course shells that are inactive through IPSIS. In order to create the integration event in Destiny One and have it processed, the course needs to be active in Destiny One and after the start date as it stands. We would prefer the course shells arrive in Brightspace as inactive so learners do not see shells before they are edited. Has anyone else working with Destiny One run into this issue and have you been able to resolve it?

Best to open a support case with the D2L Support team for guidance. They may be a configurable IPSIS handler that can be adjusted to default the course status to inactive after it has been created. Other options to consider to manage this issue are:

• Change the Role settings on the Learner/Student role: Course Access Options > Access future courses. See https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/4451-about-roles-and-permissions#course-access-options
