Rubric asterick

Received a question from the faculty about the ability to adjust the assigned score in a rubric. When they tried to lower a value to represent 80% for a category, the interface responded with a blue, shaded area and an asterisk after the total score for the rubric criteria. Why does the area change to blue and put the asterisk at the end? TIA

Hi @Charlene.S.272 ,
Thank you for the question. Once a grade has been published, and an instructor user is updating the rubric criterion level, the blue area will show the user's selection and the asterisks (*) indicate an override to the previously published grade.
