Students are accessing content before the start date via Calendar widget. How to stop this?

It seems my students are able to access content before the Start Date by clicking on the upcoming event in the Calendar widget. Is there a way to prevent this from happening and keep all content hidden until the respective Start Dates without manually unhiding the content each week? I was hoping by using the Start Date feature, the content would become visible each week automatically. TIA!

    Hi Brianna,

    Could you please check the following settings for the Student role?

    • Navigate to roles and permissions
    • Click the dropdown next to Student role > click Edit Settings
    • Kindly check if "Access future courses" is check-marked

    If that setting is not checked, and the students can see the upcoming events in the calendar, please create a support ticket and we will be happy to investigate further.
