Announcements should be displayed in chronological order by default based on their Start Date. However, you can manually change how they are ordered. If you go to the Announcements page, select the More Actions button and the Reorder option that appears in the dropdown. There you can change the order in which your announcements are appearing.

If an instructor reordered the announcements and then wants them to go back to the original/default chronological order based on the Start Date with the most recent on top, is there a quick way to revert that? Or must they make the desired updates using the Reorder tool again?
@Brenda.H.801, unfortunately there's not a way to just disable reordering with a button or clearing. Once the reordering has been set, you must made the desired reorder again. Any new Announcements made after that should still appear in the normal order though depending on their Start Dates. So you won't have to worry about constantly going back to the reorder tool to make the new message #1.
