Creator+ Spotlight - Layouts

Options

Have you used the Creator+ Layouts feature to improve course appeal?

Layouts make configuring content easier, and faster, than ever. With this feature, creators have the option to arrange text, media, and even Creator+ Elements into panels. This opens up your content pages to a new range of design possibilities. Instead of placing content into one long vertical page, you can now organize text and media into differently sized columns for a more dynamic look.

See it in Action

You can insert your own Layout in just a few easy steps. Check out the following video to see how it’s done!

(Note: This video does not have sound. A written list of instructions is included after the video.)

To create your own Layout in Brightspace, follow these steps:

  1. Select the “+” in the HTML editor. Select “Layouts.”
  2. Pick your Layout format option. You can choose from Two Panels, Two Thirds / One Third, One Third / Two Thirds, or Three Panels.
  3. Once the Layout is inserted, you can add text or media into the panels just like you would on any other part of an HTML page.
  4. Select the “Save” button at the bottom of the page to save your work.
