Hello,
We are using Integrity Advocate (Level 4) to proctor** examinations for our courses, and have had some challenges with setting up the grade items properly. Our courses are scored in D2L, and then we send results via an API call to our proprietary LMS. We call the 'Final Calculated Grade' to retrieve the result.
Final Calculated Grade uses a pass/fail grade scheme. We call the 'pass/fail' result, and then retrieve the numeric score.
Our challenge is that Both the Integrity Advocate (IA) and Final Quiz scores, even if pass fail, must be assigned a numeric value, which combine to give the 'Final Calculated Grade' value. Given it is only two numbers, there is always the possibility that a student scores fails IA, but passes overall, and vice versa. We have found a workaround by adding a 'dummy' numeric value to offset this, but it means the students' final score, once retrieved back to our LMS, does not match the score they see in D2L.
What have others that use IA done in this case? Looking for any input on how to best set this up, where both IA and the Quiz must be a Pass for the final score to be a Pass, conversely if either is Fail, the final score must be a 'Fail.
Thank you!
