Unable to create a quiz

Hello, the quiz tab is there, but I do not see create a quiz option as I have seen in my prior courses.
I create quizzes for students in all of my courses. These quizzes are not part of the course template. It is something I do as an instructor to assess students. This is my first course where I am not allowed to create quizzes.
Please help.

    This seems to be an issue with your role in the course. If the "New Quiz" button is not available on your end, you might want to check whether you're accessing the course as an instructor (instructor role).

    If you can confirm you are accessing it from an instructor role, then you should reach out to your institution's platform admin for further assistance.
