Re: Upload File Access to the Media Library via API
I'm pretty confident it's not going to end up in the media library using that endpoint. The documentation you linked to requires a map to the eventual home for the file with this example file path: /content/enforced/orgunit_id-org_id/newfilename)
Media Library has a different file location altogether, separate from the content area in a given course, and seemingly specific to the user, rather than to the course.
Re: Course banner and homepage widget
We would love to know if there is now a way to do this. We asked pretty much the same question a year or so ago and there was no way to change the background color in the curse or have two different photos, one for the course and one for the "My Courses" widget.
Re: How can I include more than one paragraph in Stylised Quote?
Hi @Josu.A.277 . I'm don't know of a way to do this. I think it would be a good feature request in the Product Idea Exchange. As a workaround, though, if you're ok with fiddling with the HTML, you could create the first paragraph normally, then add the second paragraph manually in the code. Here's how to do this:
- Create the quote as normal, with only the first paragraph
- (maybe required) Expand the Brightspace Editor toolbar to see two rows by clicking the three ellipses
- Click the Code button to open the code modal
- Find the <blockquote> …. </blockquote> section
- Find the first <p> … </p> section inside the blockquote section that holds your first paragraph
- Add a line below that of step 5 that will contain your second paragraph
- Create your <p> </p> tags (indentation doesn't matter)
- Enter your second paragraph text between the <p> </p> tags you created in step 6a
- Click the Save button to close the code modal and see your work
Here's a animation of the above steps:
You can repeat steps 5 and 6 to add three or more paragraphs.
Re: How can I include more than one paragraph in Stylised Quote?
Hi Josu
When I want to insert vertical space in a webpage, I have also experienced the additional linefeeds getting stripped out. The workaround I use, if you're comfortable with editing the HTML Source, is to insert either "<br>" multiple times or "<p> </p>" in the spot where you want to see the "blank space" appear.
The latter is my preference.
If what you're experiencing is that hitting ENTER causes the message to save/submit/send then you can try hitting Shift+ENTER instead (or Alt+ENTER as is used in Excel).
I hope that's helpful
Best,
Matt

Hi everyone!
I just posted a new article:
This article would be of interest to administrators, and helps to ensure awareness of the latest authentication security practices and the available controls within D2L Brightspace.

Re: Shuffling questions in a section
And to address your other point @Sue.H.848,
Regarding shuffling Sections in the quiz - in order for Sections themselves to be shuffled, you would need to select the option under Timing & Display titled "Shuffle questions and sections within the quiz. Does not cascade to sub-sections."
My reply to the original question mentioned to not select this option as this seemed to match the desired outcome of the original question posed. But if you are looking for sections within your quiz to be shuffled, then this option would need to be selected.
Re: Shuffling questions in a section
Hello @Jennifer.W.973 & @Sue.H.848,
Apologies for the delay, the unexpected outcome from having both “Add page break after each section” and “Shuffle Quiz” selected in a quiz is indeed a Known Issue that is being reviewed by our development team.
The article describing this behavior was recently published to the community which is what I wanted to include in my reply to you both!
