Re: Discussion Post grading
Hi Sara,
You should be able to create a second grade for replies. Here is an article from Community that goes over the full discussion grading options, but essentially, you need to do the following:
- In the same Edit Topic screen, scroll to Evaluation & Feedback.
- Check Allow evaluation of individual posts.
- Choose a Calculation Method:
- Average post score (recommended for multiple replies).
- Maximum post score or Sum of post scores.
- Optionally, enable:
- Include unevaluated posts in the topic score calculation as zero.
- Click Save and Close.

@Mary.G.268 Hi Mary, you have to put the feedback in the Overall Feedback box on the Completion Summary page instead of in the Attempt Feedback box on each individual quiz attempt in order for it to appear in the grade book.

How can I get the overall feedback that I give on a quiz to show in the stuent's grade report?
This is so frustrating. I would like the students to be able to see what I write as feedback for a quiz in the same place that they look for all the other feedback, which is their grade report. I simply cannot figure out how to do this. Is this possible? If not, I hope that they are working on it. What good is a quiz if students can't learn from them.

Re: Resolving duplicate user accounts while preserving course progress/completion

Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to merge users or merge user data into one user account.
What is suggested when there are duplicate users, is to determine which user account is appropriate for the user to continue using. This would depend on various factors (i.e one of the users is associated with the correct SSO account, one of the users has been used most recently and contains more recent user data).
Since merging is not possible, some activity progress can be moved over manually, such as export and importing grades.

You can download the user's assignment submissions, impersonate the user and submit their assignments on their behalf:
With certificates, you can also manually assign them the awards without having the user perform the required criteria to earn the award: https://community.d2l.com/brightspace/kb/articles/3473-create-and-manage-awards#manually-issue-an-award
Quiz submissions cannot be transferred over, but you can adjust the user's grade manually or through the imports.
