Re: Intelligent Agent for Multiple Conditions?
Hello, @Rovi.V.8836
Thank you for reaching out to D2L via Brightspace community.
My name is Rutvik and I am a member of the D2L Product Support team. I will be helping you with your questions today.
Release conditions must be attached to specific items individually, there is currently no global or dynamic condition that automatically applies across "all assignments" at once.
However, you can attach multiple release conditions to a single intelligent agent:
For instance, in your case, to trigger when a student misses any assignment: You may want to add a condition for each assignment folder and set the condition criteria to "Any condition must be met".
To trigger when a student misses all assignments: Add a condition for each assignment folder and set the criteria to "All conditions must be met".
Additionally, kindly refer to the below community article

I hope you have found this information to be useful. Should you have any questions or concerns about it, please, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you,

Can Brightspace Add a Dashboard to View Grades Across All Courses?
My university recently switched to Brightspace, and one feature I really miss is being able to view all of my course grades in one place. Currently, I have to navigate into each course and open the Grades section just to see how I am doing. This becomes frustrating and time-consuming when managing multiple courses. I would love to see a centralized grade dashboard where students can view their current overall grade percentage for every enrolled course on a single page without having to open each course separately. Does Brightspace currently offer this feature, or could it be considered for a future update? I believe this would make tracking academic progress much easier and improve the overall student experience.
Thank you!
Re: Brightspace Data Sets Updates
I was just checking it out and when I look at a dataset the new navigation is locked at the top when scrolling. (I am using Google Chrome on Win10 PC)
For me. this poses a different issue. having the navigation locked at the top decreases the available real-estate within the browser to view the ERD or the actual data dictionary entry for that dataset. While putting my browser into full screen mode helps, when working, I regularly need to have multiple windows open across multiple monitors and dedicating one of the monitors to a single page is not a very effective use of resources. With the reduced viewing area it is hard to see the 'big picture' in the ERD in order to determine joins and a scroll-athon when looking at the details of datasets when verifying which fields you are interested in.
Out of curiosity, why not put the navigation in tree form in the existing side navigation frame? You could have the list of dataset groups be expandable listing each individual dataset under it so that it links to that area in the page. Another improvement would be to replace the single page for the dataset groups, instead have a page with the full ERD, then have a page for each dataset and then you could include a summary ERD above it to remind one of the context while viewing the information. Just a thought that might solve several issues.
Re: Brightspace Data Sets Updates
The layout change to Data Sets pages makes documentation harder to use, as in more time consuming. With the navigation at the top of the page for each specific data set within a group means scrolling to the top of the page to select a different data set, rather than the previous experience of clicking a link that was always visible.
Re: Editing the links on the password reset page
Hello @Keith.J.7036, thanks for the update! I'm glad that did get you close enough to identify the one you needed and got it sorted out.
Have a great Wednesday, and let us know if you need any further assistance!

Re: Community Feedback🗨️
Hello Community gang!
Will you please look into freezing the top navbar of the Community Site?
Way down here on the bottom of this page, for example, I have to scroll miles and miles to get back to that to navigate to another notification or page from the navbar menu.
Thanks!

Re: Displaying a Text Grade to Students
@Richard.W.228 Hi Rich, it looks like you may have to do the opposite since there are fewer display options on the text items and the letter grades are being treated like scheme symbols since they appear in the Grade column. I guess that makes sense since the text wouldn't be in the Points or Weight Achieved columns. Enabling Grade Scheme Symbol in the overall gradebook settings and then disabling it individually on all the other non-text grade items might be your only option here.
How do I make the display fit a now-standard widescreen monitor?
The Brightspace screen only covers about the center 60% of my laptop screen or monitor, leaving blank swaths on the right and left as if it were created for a squarish screen from the 1990s. I have not yet found the right setting to change that to fit today's screens, which are all wider than they are tall. This is a problem because I can't get enough information on the screen at once to do things easily. Lots of excess scrolling is necessary. Can anyone point me to how to make the Brightspace display fit the rectangular, landscape screen that has become standard? Thanks!
Re: Bring Back Crtl+F Browser Search
Hi @christopher.houghton@stonybrook.edu
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand how impactful this change is, especially when working with a large number of grade items.
The behaviour you’re experiencing is related to the recent updates to the Grades tool (released February 2026), which introduced a new table structure and navigation experience. As part of this update, the page now uses a different rendering approach, which can affect how browser-based tools like Ctrl+F interact with the content.
At this time, this is expected with the updated experience and is not something that can be reverted. The change was introduced to support improvements such as:
- Addressing long-standing issues within the Grades tool
- Improving accessibility and navigation
- Aligning the Grades experience with other areas of Brightspace
You can read more about these updates here: February 2026/20.26.02 - Brightspace
I understand your concern around efficiency, especially when managing a high volume of grade items, and your feedback about navigation and search is valid. While Ctrl+F may not behave as it did previously, a few options that may help in the meantime include:
- Using the left/right navigation arrows within the Gradebook
- Using Shift + scroll (or a two-finger horizontal swipe on a trackpad) to move across columns more quickly
I’ve also shared your feedback with your account team for visibility.
Thank you again for raising this,
Carolina A.
Bulk edit in NCE?
Hello,
In the old Content, there was an option to bulk edit dates and restrictions of content; however, I don't see that option in the NCE. Is there a way to edit dates without tediously clicking on each content item?
Thanks,
Yildiz
