Re: Advanced Functionality for Quizzes (Arithmetic)
From a computer programmer's vocabulary, D2L defines variables that are local to the question only. It needs to define global variables for an entire quiz.
Like the original poster, I would love to see the ability to use functions to define variables - but this is not as important to me as the need for global variables within a quiz. I would also like the ability to use a student's previous answer to calculate follow-up answers to other questions, as this would allow me to adjust follow-up answers for incorrect previous answers. This would probably involve a check box that if checked, stored the value the student gave into a variable which would otherwise be defined by the answer that D2L calculated.
Finally, I have noticed that when I allow students to retake quizzes with arithmetic questions and I have selected "re-answer only the incorrect questions," D2L is not re-assigning new random values to the variables. This behavior should be documented. Ideally, I should have the choice of reassigning new values for each retake attempt or asking D2L to keep the old values as it currently does.
I know this is probably silly for me to bother asking. I have yet to see D2L actually respond to genuine feature requests - but who knows. Maybe I'll get lucky!

Hello. Are there any updates for this issue? Is it still occurring at my institution.

Re: Issues with Cursor within D2L
We are all out of patience. This has been an issue for over 6 months - since at least September of 2024. None of the offered fixes make a difference. Why is this such a difficult issue to address? The amount of frustration it causes is difficult to quantify, especially on a feature that I use almost daily.

Re: course copy - assignments no longer linked to grade center
Hi @Deb.H.306
I took a look at our Known Issues list and I don't see a record for this type of behaviour.
If you've seen even one additional instance of this type of behaviour, I think it's worthwhile to create a case in the ASC Homepage to document the course being copied and the destination course.
Creating the case will allow us to assign a support agent to access the environment and take a closer look at what's going on there.
Re: Product Idea Exchange (PIE)
Re: Product Idea Exchange (PIE)
I'm interested in a couple of features.
One-click rubric grading - one click selects all the criteria in a column at once. But then individual rows can be re-graded/adjusted as needed rather than the current setup where each criteria row needs to be individually clicked. I don't even want to do the math on how many clicks I endure in semester to grade all assignments across all of my courses.
Annoucements where instructor have the ability to allow comments or not. Sometimes students may want to ask questions or interact with course announcements.
Assignment comments should be able to be threaded. Students often ask questions in the comments when assignments are submitted. If I respond and have additional questions, there should be an option for us to engage in a conversation about their work within the assignment.
Thank you!

Hello,
You can review the article for Peer Review but to conduct peer review using a tool, we recommend using a 3rd party add on, such as Feedback Fruits
