Has anyone had success connecting GitHub Classroom's LIT with D2L?

I've already accessed the GitHub Education page that guides the setup process ( https://docs.github.com/en/education/manage-coursework-with-github-classroom/teach-with-github-classroom/connect-a-learning-management-system-course-to-a-classroom ), but I was not successful. I would like to know if anyone has succeeded, so that they can guide me. Tks!

    Hi @Denise.M.3057
I'm afraid this isn't in my wheelhouse but wanted to take a few steps to help connect you with some more information.

I've Cross Posted your question to our Developers Group to help get a few more expert eyes on it

Github Classroom's LIT connector with D2L? — Brightspace

I'm also reaching out to your account team to let them know you're looking for a bit more information on integrating other outside tools with Brightspace.

I'm also interested in doing this. I don't see any updates on the cross-post. Has there been any movement on this @Stefanie.B.518 ? Thank you!

    Hi @Mike.D.1609,
I'm sorry we're not seeing more folks jump into the Developer Group thread on this.

I believe Brightspace is not yet considered a "verified" integration partner with GitHub Education but LTI 1.3 Advantage is supported through Brightspace- so I think the connection is possible- but may require a bit of technical assistance from D2L IT if you're getting a bit stuck.

Just as I did for Denise, I've connected with your School's Account Team here at D2L to let them know you're looking at this tool specifically and to request their assistance in supporting your school's next steps in testing/exploring options to best meet your needs here.

Are you currently testing making the connecting via LTI 1.3 and getting stuck at a specific point?

    Hi @Denise.M.3057,

I cannot tell if the latest posts about this were from today, as I only see times, not dates. I also have an instructor asking me to enable the LTI 1.3 integration with GitHub Education, but I do not want to go to the trouble if it does not work.

@Stefanie.B.518, how does one go about getting an LTI tool "verified" by Brightspace?

@Denise.M.3057 I'm actually working with @Rachel.S.639 to set this up. She is our Brightspace administrator (I personally don't have the access to try it out.) Thanks.

    Hi @Mike.D.1609 and @Rachel.S.639
grateful to you both for your posts here and to Denise as well!

In the Community, each post will show a date stamp, or a time stamp when the update has happened that day. The date or time stamp should display following each Community Members name.
In your post, I can see that you replied here yesterday, July 14th.

From what I can tell, the verification must be completed by D2L and GitHub specifically. I've followed up with our Product Team to ensure they're aware of the growing interest in this type of verification for Brightspace.

I've connected with your Account Team here at D2L to also let them know about your interest in using this tool and to help gather more information on how/if this tool can be integrated with your Brightspace instance and/or if there may be other Brightspace Partner Solutions that may meet your requirements.

A date or stamp will display on each unique post following the Community member's name to help you learn when a post was made
