I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue. It's making it so that we are hesitant to utilize any submodule description areas because access to them is not intuitive for many of our students.
In the NCE students are frequently missing critical instructor directions placed in the submodule description area. When a student clicks the caret next to a submodule name, it expands the nested list view in the sidebar but does not actually navigate to the submodule’s description area. Because students view the caret as the primary way to open things, they assume they have fully opened the module and completely miss the description text rendered at the top of the main landing page.
Clicking the caret should automatically load the submodule's description area in the main frame. This would ensure students actually see the instructions, objectives, and contexts written by instructors without needing to know the exact quirk of clicking the submodule name rather than the caret.
