H5P recently made some big updates to accessibility, hotspots, and interactive videos. Check out the highlights below:
- Accessibility - The H5P team conducted an accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 AA, covering the learner-facing experience across 26 content types. You can see detailed results in their April 2026 Accessibility Conformance Report
- Hotspots - There are two new ways to guide learners through the Hotspot interactive. Authors can now assign a unique icon to each hotspot. They can also display hotspots as numbered steps and control the order.
- Interactive Video - Authors can now choose to keep videos playing when a learner scrolls past them, and learners can now tap anywhere on a video to play or pause it.
