The D2L Product Design team is looking for your input. We would like to invite you to participate in a study about instructors’ experience with portfolios.

We are looking for instructors / instructional designers / administrators who have assigned portfolios in your class or program in the last three (3) years. Please note, you do not need to use Brightspace tools for portfolio creation to participate in the study.

If you meet these criteria and you are interested in participating, please select a timeslot in this Doodle poll (link to copy below).

Please don’t hesitate to contact our research team at UX@d2l.com if you have any questions or would to find a more convenient time.

Project Details

What is this research about? We're interested in learning more about how professors and instructors in higher education use portfolios or some way for learners to collect evidence to share with others. We're particularly interested in instructors who intend for students to share their portfolios with one or more other people (i.e., not just with you, the instructor).

What do I need to prepare? There’s nothing to prepare beforehand. We’ll send you a calendar invite with a Zoom link to access the meeting. If for some reason, you can’t make the session, just let us know as soon as you can at ux@D2L.com.

What should I expect in the session? The session will be an hour long. We’ll ask a few questions to understand your background and role and then dive into understanding your process, motivation, successes, and challenges in using portfolios. We’ll leave a few minutes at the end so you can provide any general feedback about your experiences in Brightspace.

What do I get out of the session? As a token of our appreciation, we will send you a gift card worth $40 USD.

How do I sign up? You can choose a timeslot in the Doodle poll: https://doodle.com/poll/w7x44yt26282wqbu

What happens after the session? We can’t always follow up with you on the impact that your session had on our design, but we do take the sessions very seriously and ensure they have an impact on our product.
