New Content vs Classic Content

I was looking through the data model and can't seem to find any way of knowing whether a course is using New Content or Classic Content. Am I missing something?

We currently give the faculty a choice of how to represent their course shells. However, we would like to be able to collect information about the breakdown of what types of courses might be using New Content vs Classic Content as well as being able to determined if a preponderence of Faculty are choosing one way or the other.

Any Suggestions would be welcome.

We manually collect that data as part of our annual audits which is very time-consuming so would be very interested to know if there's a better process!

We also asked for this. We were told it is not available.

We have used a Python script to interrogate the ConfigVariable values via the API, we run this as a weekly job to let us know how adoption is progressing. We allow our course leaders to switch experiences for this academic year with the expectation that all courses will be using NCE next academic year. I can share some of the code later if it is of interest (I am not on a computer with access to it at the moment).

How many institutions are using the LE Learner Experience with NCE?

Most instructors would like students to see NCE without LE but we turned it on for the navigation arrows and a better mobile experience.

I'm also not a fan of the new LE "nested boxes" look in the November update. I would like our school to turn off LE if they add the navigation arrows to NCE but then what is D2L planning for future updates? Are they going with LE or not? It wouldn't be a good idea to keep flipping the learner view.

We're actually fans of the new LE experience - but we're also keen to understand the roadmap for the NCE & LE
