Insights builder above Offerings question -New to Brightspace
Hello new friends! Im curious, just before i spend potentially hours into creating something that already exist. Also a fairly new report builder.
Is it possible or is there something i am missing that we can get an enrollment count/ access broken down by layers above the course offering? For example, above offering/template/department, we have added divisions (12- divisions) and schools (5-schools). The filter options across the "Course access" dataset only allows us to select "course offerings" and would love to break these down by the schools or divisions within the Analytics builder and not have to export to do the additional work.

@Shawn.H.717 Hi Shawn, this will depend on how your institution has set up the hierarchy and how they define what an orgunit is, but usually regular courses are descendants of divisions/schools/departments/semesters/etc. So you will most likely need to join Organizational Units and Organizational Unit Descendants to create a list of which courses belong to which school and division. Then you can join to User Enrollments to get an enrollment count based on roles, as well as join to Course Access to see who has accessed the courses and when.
