In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, which was on June 21st, we have decided to make this discussion based on Indigenous learning. “National Indigenous Peoples Day aims to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across Canada.” -The Government of Canada

Learn more about National Indigenous Peoples Day by following the link below.

The D2L Adventure digital resource also recognizes and makes space for Indigenous histories, present-day contexts, cultures, pedagogies, and worldviews. Our resources are accessible and engaging for all students and strive to accurately portray what it means to be Canadian.

How do we ensure that our resources include meaningful Indigenous content?

  1. Diverse elementary characters
  2. Conscious representation of Indigenous history
  3. Inclusion of present-day Indigenous cultures and worldviews

Through these approaches, we introduce students to a Canada that is diverse and inclusive.

See the Indigenous Content Primer attached below to learn more about how D2L Adventure incorporates Indigenous learning.

As always, you can contact us to learn more, ask questions, or see a demo of the D2L Adventure digital resource material. We look forward to hearing from you!
