Hi everybody. I hope your December is going well.
An issue was raised to us and we are trying to come up with a solution that would work for everyone, so I thought I would put this out to the group to get your suggestions or thoughts.
It's always a balancing act between making sure everything is available and not cluttering the interface. So more advanced items only show up when you bring focus to the row of links where they live. An example of this is the "actions for navbar" button in our navigation bar. But this can create confusion when a user is bringing focus by using the keyboard. As you tab into the row, the button shows up, and might lead to confusion about which item has focus.
This brings me to the question I have for you. How can we declutter the interface and bring it into view without causing confusion about which item has focus? Have people been confused about this behavior? What recommendations might you have?
Thanks for any thoughts,
Carin
