Introduction
Hi All,
I was first introduced to Brightspace and D2L in 2015 while I was in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which is part of the EMEA Region. I have been using Brightspace since that time. Even though, I have moved back to the USA I am still engaged with partners in the EMEA region.
I designed, implemented, and operated the ACTVET iCampus on the Brightspace platform, a competency based digital learning supporting UAE National Qualification’s Authority (NQA) framework, which is integrated with social learning that allows for professional development, sharing best practices, and building knowledge communities. I was at that time the Head of Innovation and Technology at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET).
I presented my experience with Brightspace during FUSION 2019 in Florida. I then documented my experience an article that is now published on my blog. where I made reference to FUSION 2019 as well as to John Baker’s opening keynote speech. The article is titled “Utilizing Emerging Technologies to Prepare an Agile Workforce: A Practical Approach”.
I continue to follow the Brightspace developments and achievements.
