Some exciting developments of the Discover tool in the [Archived Content] May release:
Index multiple courses using the Brightspace Developer Platform API
- To make it easier to index multiple courses for Discover, developers can now use the Brightspace Developer Platform API to enable the Is Discoverable option on courses. Once the option is enabled, those courses are visible in Discover, available to learners for self-enrollment.

Track user self-enrollment in courses
- To allow instructors to track which users are self-enrolling in courses using Discover, administrators can now optionally configure enrollment logs to record Discover (or a custom name) as the Enrolled By type. Previously, when users self-enrolled in courses using Discover, D2LSupport was recorded as the Enrolled By type in enrollment logs. If administrators choose not to configure enrollment logs, D2LSupport is recorded by default.
- To configure enrollment logs, administrators create a new service user role with specific enrollment permissions, and then set the new d2l.System.Enrollment.DiscoverUserId configuration variable.
- From the Users tool, instructors can then view which users are self-enrolling in course using Discover.

Great news !!!
At Ghent University every course that will be created for next academic year will use the API to add a description to the course and to put all our courses default on discoverable. All course from the past academic year will be put on non discoverable when the new academic year starts.
