PDF assignment files

Hello,

We are running into an issue with some of the PDF assignment files not opening for the assessors. From what we gathered, it depends on the PDF format and the version of Adobe that the student might have (and save their assignment in). For instance, we already figured that the LiveCycle Designer PDF version gives an error message and cannot be viewed/downloaded.

Would there be a list of PDF formats that are supported and won't cause error messages when they are being downloaded from Dropbox/assessed through Inline Feedback? It would probably be something like PDF/A (one of the most common types), and maybe something else? Alternatively, it would be great to know what PDF file formats are not supported

John and others: I am very interested in exploring how to use chatGPT as a discussion partner for students and instructors . This is not a great example ( https://chat.openai.com/share/1d943eab-05ca-4e27-9cca-0d011bbf70fd ) but, by searching for ** in the conversation, you can see where I as the instructor jumped into the conversation and moved it in a different direction. Could we use the Brightspace API to somehow connect with the ChatGPT API to create a threaded discussion in D2L?

Hi, thanks for this event, it's really helpfull.

I wanna know if I there's a way to create a course (or any organization unit) and all things I do into this course will be copy/edit/delete in other course offerings automatically.

I'm creating course offerings, departments and everithing with IPSIS.

One issue we keep running into is instructor changes that leave the old instructor still enrolled in the course offering of a course that has multiple sections (cross-listed courses). We have found a few instances where an instructor change is processed in our PeopleSoft system and the un-enrollments for the old instructor come through IPSIS and the instructor is removed from all the sections, but they still remain in the course offering so they are still in the course site. When we initially ran into this issue we were told that we need to change the section course access option for the instructor role from "Access all course sections" to "Can be auto enrolled into sections" but we have still run into this issue even with the setting changed to "Can be auto enrolled into sections." What are we missing?
