What is it?
A centralized Portfolio experience where educators can view and navigate through students and evidence from the same page.
Why are we doing this?
We’ve heard your feedback! You’ve asked us to make Portfolio easier to navigate, especially switching between students and evidence - and we didn’t stop there. These improvements include a single page to view all students and evidence, compact cards, and even (spoiler alert) LISTS! But wait! There’s more! We are also adding navigational tools such as searching, filtering, and sorting.
Centralized Navigation: Sneak Peek
We wanted to give you a sneak peak of the designs we are using for our upcoming releases so that you have an idea of where we are headed this fall. The future Portfolio will allow you to easily move from viewing students to evidence to evidence by student in a card view or list view. After that, we will be adding navigational tools to help you narrow down your views using filters, search, and sorting.

Releases
20.20.07
In July, we introduced compact cards for students and courses. By reducing the size of the card and condensing how the information is presented, you can see more cards at a time and the whole Portfolio has a cleaner look and feel.

New Student List view
You can now switch between the card-based view of students and a new list view. At a glance, you can easily find Unapproved Evidence from more students at once. Choose between these two view options to find out which one suits you and your work flows best.

In August, we will extend the compact card style to evidence cards providing a single, consistent card view across Portfolio.

20.20.11
In November, building on the October release we are adding filtering to the Evidence view. This will allow instructors to more easily find all evidence for a specific category, Brightspace Portfolio includes new category filtering options from the Evidence view. Categories are often used by instructors to organize work submitted by learners or they can be required areas of study. Instructors can also filter all evidence shared with parents or all spotlighted evidence.

Coming Soon
Next up we will be adding a student selector to view evidence by student within the instructor centralized Portfolio. Then use the evidence filters to narrow down to find specific evidence for your student.
