First off, what is the new Beta Program?
The new Beta Program at D2L is a new name for the (historically known) Dev Pilot and Early Access Programs for D2L's early-stage product releases. This new program is a result of efforts to increase clarity in our naming conventions for product releases while also adding structure to our early-stage product release process, providing customers with clear expectations and outcomes alignment.
The Beta Program is another great way to expand our partnership as we work together to preview and validate new features before making them available to everyone.
What features are appropriate/suitable for the Beta Program?
The Beta Program is intended for new and innovative features that would benefit from hands-on customer experience and validation prior to General Availability (GA).
Although the types of features and functionality that leverage the Beta Program will vary, the process will remain consistent.
What is my role as a Beta customer?
The scope of customer involvement may vary slightly depending on the type of feature or functionality being validated. The common theme for all Beta Programs is engagement with both the product and D2L to provide feedback for consideration and prioritization prior to GA.
How can I get involved in a Beta Program?
Our External Roadmap identifies features that will be included in a Beta Program. If you are interested in participating, comment on the roadmap in Brightspace Community or connect with your Customer Success Manager.
