Hi folks,
I'm wondering if there is a source/reference list from the IDEA-STEM session that was hosted recently?
In particular, the inverted triangle on "What do students with disabilities study?" with Biological and Physical Sciences at the small bottom end of the triangle.
A few colleagues and I are putting together an accessibility in STEM panel discussion for upcoming fall conference and we'd love to dig into these materials a bit more.
Thanks!

Hi. I also attached the chat file which has a bunch of links that might be helpful. I can pass on your question to the presenters and see what they say. Thanks for having a look!

I got a response from Mahadeo and Ainsley. Hi Carin, Some of the data, in particular what students with disabilities study, came from unpublished data that Mahadeo has collected as part of his research on students with disabilities in Canada that hasn't yet been published. His book, "Cresting a Culture of Accessibility in the Sciences" by Dr. Mahadeo Sukhai has some general information. Mahadeo's previous work on the "Landscape for Students with Disabilities" in Canada, which he did as Director of Research for the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (also in Canada) is on their webpage but this report was not intended to be STEM specific. This probably isn't the answer the person was hoping for, and we hope to find funding to repeat and publish this work. Mahadeo and/or myself are happy to speak to the findings, until they are published. I hope this helps Carin. Cheers, Ainsley Mahadeo also said they would be willing to talk to you about your panel if you're interested. Sorry I don't have a definite source. Carin
