Introduction
A fresh new tool for bulk importing course packages and content is arriving in the April (20.24.4) update! The Bulk Course Import tool provides a simplified and on-demand course import experience including a Bulk Course Import History dashboard where you can quickly and easily check the status of your imports.
Here is an early preview of this update so that you can review, prepare, and raise any questions.
Today, bulk importing course packages and content from supported LMS’s and content providers is a complex workflow that relies on a daily scheduled task and configuration outside of Brightspace.
The new Bulk Course Import brings configuration and continuous, on-demand import into Brightspace and provides a detailed import history dashboard.

Why did we do this?
Our goal is to simplify key administrative tasks for first-time or infrequent users, while giving easy access to the advanced features that our experienced power-users love. Launching this new workflow will help us to achieve that. Bulk Course Import was developed to provide a simplified, continuous experience for clients that are migrating to Brightspace or those clients that need to import new courses in bulk.
Bulk Tool Configuration
The Bulk Course Import configuration page provides Administrators with the ability to define under which Course Template their courses will be imported. This page will also display the SFTP user* that has been configured to work with Course Conversion and Bulk Course Import.
*Administrators should work with their Implementation team, Customer Success team or Support for the set-up of their SFTP user account.

The Bulk Course Import History dashboard provides administrators with a detailed list of completed and in-progress course imports.
Key features:
- Filter, search and export results
- Expandable cards for each import provide at a glance status of the import and a detailed summary including
- Count of errors and warnings encountered during package conversion
