The D2L Product Design team is looking for your input.
We would like to invite you to participate in a usability study on making existing and new course content accessible. We want to hear from instructional designers and administrators working in US-based higher education, K-12 schools, or government organizations AND who have one or more of the following responsibilities:
• Assessing the accessibility of course contents
• Remediating the inaccessible course contents
• Ensuring course contents comply with ADA Title II at the organizational level

Project Details
What is this research about? We are interested in walking you through the features we built for the new Accessibility+ in Brightspace and in understanding your perspective and experience with completing a course accessibility scan and remediation using those features. in making course content accessible, as well as your organization’s approach, and your involvement in preparing for ADA Title II compliance.
When is this research happening? We aim to conduct 60-minute interviews with 8 individuals between July 21-24, 2026. You can sign up for a time slot from the scheduling link.
What do I need to prepare? There’s no need to prepare anything beforehand. We’ll send you a calendar invite with a Zoom link to access the meeting and a non-disclosure agreement to sign electronically. If you can’t make the session for any reason, just let us know as soon as you can at aj.karakus@D2L.com.
What should I expect in the session? The session will last 60 minutes. We’ll start by asking you a few questions about your role and your involvement in the course accessibility process, then we’ll complete a couple of tasks together on a prototype and discuss your experience with it. for digital courses and/or making course content accessible.
What do I get out of the session? As a token of our appreciation, we will send you a $60 gift card.
What happens after the session? We can’t always follow up with you on the impact that your session had on our design, but we do take the sessions very seriously and ensure they have an impact on our product.
