In what ways do you use data to inform your instructional decisions?

I’m always curious when I hear the term “data-informed decision making” and what that actually means to faculty members? In what ways do you use data to inform your instructional decisions?

Are you a fan of formative assessments? Do you use them often? To what end?

Similarly, do you poll your learners about how they’re doing? Do you ask their opinion about course materials or content?
