Rubric data sets - initial feedback for overall score or holistic rubrics?
On the rubrics data set documentation, there is mention of Overall Level Initial Feedback and there is a Feedback field in Rubric Object Levels. It seems that the overall score on analytic rubrics and holistic rubrics are logged similarly in these tables (since neither have criteria). However, when I look at our data, the feedback field is almost all nulls except for a few holistic rubrics from pre-2019 and I cannot see the initial feedback when I Iook at the rubric in D2L. Was this overall/holistic initial feedback removed from the UI or am I not looking in the right place?

I think this is a backend/data-set concept that still exists, but is no longer clearly exposed in the current rubric UI. The documentation still defines Rubric Object Levels.Feedback and even references “Overall Level Initial Feedback” in the Rubrics Edit data set, but current rubric authoring docs only describe Overall Score settings and don’t show a place to enter that feedback. That would explain why the field is mostly null in newer data and only appears in some older holistic rubrics. I would recommend contact D2L Support for verification.
