Tracking Student Usage outside of Content items and activities
I'm interested in student usage of various tools in D2L, but I need clarification on what is actually tracked.
In Tool Access from the Course Overview widget, I can see views for Announcements and Grades when I filter down to the Student role, but I'm not finding anything in the data sets that would allow me to see if a student had viewed an announcement or their grades in the grade book. So far I've just found FeedbackIsRead in the Assignment Submissions data set.
Sometimes our instructors upload the syllabus to the Overview section, or paste the text of the syllabus into a content module/item description, and I can't find any mention of those in the data sets either.
So I guess my question is -
Is there any way to track if (and which and when) students have viewed:
- Announcements
- Grade book
- Overview
- Content module or item descriptions
