Is there a seamless way to gauge student participation in Brightspace? It should be authentically meaningful to students and instructors.

Can you please clarify what you mean. Are you looking for tools to see student participation or are you looking for tools that will allow for students to participate.

@Vanesa.K.936 , If you mean can instructors track a student's progress…theoretically, yes in Class Progress. You can see what units/lessons/pages students have clicked on. However, if there are practice questions on the page, or instructions for a reflection, it will not track this unless it's set up as a quiz, assignment or discussion.
