Student Grade Reports
Hi Everyone! Our students have expressed the desire for the ability to monitor their grades in all of their current courses in one place. It sounds like D2L does not natively have the capability, but I was told that other organizations have engineered solutions. If your organization has done something like this, or you have any suggestions of solutions I'd love to hear it!

I was looking for something similar and I believe you can add the class progress menu to the Homepage and it will show students the class progress of all their classes instead of a single course when they access it through the course home page. I've only played around with it in test so I don't know if there are any other issues with doing it this way.

Hello,
Students can monitor their grades across courses under Progress, which is under their name. It will show all their active courses.

I used to be able to access the multiple course view, but now when I impersonate a student and click the Progress, it only shows the current course that I am in. Is there a specific setting that needs to be enabled?

I didn't know about the progress option in the user account settings. My is just a menu link that posts to the same location. Andrea's way is better.

The courses you can view (past, current, future) depends on your role settings. It sounds like your role cannot see past courses.

If I understood you correctly, your students want a way to see all their grades from different courses in one place. That sounds like a great idea, and I’d love to learn more about how this could be implemented. From what I know, the Class Progress tool helps track student progress within a course by measuring different indicators, but it doesn’t provide a consolidated view across courses. If other schools have figured out a way to do this, I’d be really interested in exploring it too!

@Andrea.M.553 Can you view the report for all the courses when you are impersonating a learner or user? Or can you see it when logged in as a learner or user?

We've had a similar request and so I've been working on a Student Dashboard. Grades on one page, course list that links directly to the course and grabs the instructor's email address. I'm working on a way for students to see previous semester grades and build a simple list of upcoming assignments and tasks. There is a lot to be done but it's a start.
I'm planning to have this as a link in the main navigation bar. This uses API calls and JavaScript to pull data and put it where it needs to go. Once it's all finished, I'll add it to my github account for people to use. These are HTML and JavaScript pages built in the Organization Files folder.
