Hey folks - we have a user research opportunity that we would like to invite your instructors/faculty to participate in. This research is related to the upcoming work that we will be doing related to supporting multiple achievement scales within the organization. The link below is for HE clients. We would like to only have one instructor or faculty member per client participate in this research opportunity since we only have a fairly small number of participants available.

If you are a K-12 client (outside of Ontario, CA) and would like one of your teachers to participate, please e-mail me directly or reply to this thread for a separate sign-up calendar link.

Research Invitation

The D2L product team would like to invite you to participate in a study that involves testing out a new design for setting up learning outcomes. We are looking for instructors in the Higher Education segment who have formalized course outcomes/objectives and track if students meet those.

More details on this project are below. If your role fits the description and you are interested, please choose a timeslot here: https://calendly.com/akarakus/d2l-user-experience-research-outcomes-he

Please feel free to forward this invitation to any colleagues who you think may also qualify for this study.

If you have any questions or are interested in other research opportunities, please get in touch at aj.karakus@d2l.com.

Thanks!

Project Details

What is this research about? This study seeks to test a new design that allows you to set up learning outcomes/objectives and their achievement scale. We are interested in testing whether this new design concept is understandable and easy to use for instructors. As part of our product development process at D2L, we regularly consult with clients and non-clients to inform our product decisions. This helps us better understand your challenges and needs so we can create products that are intuitive and transform learning.

When is this research happening? We are aiming to interview 6 participants for non-client institutions and 6 participants from non-client institutions between September 5th and September 15th. You can sign up for a time slot here: https://calendly.com/akarakus/d2l-user-experience-research-outcomes-he

If none of the available timeslots work with your schedule, please respond to this email indicating as such so we can work out a timeslot that works better with your schedule.

What do I need to prepare? There’s nothing to prepare beforehand. Once you sign-up, we’ll send you a calendar invite with a Zoom link to access the meeting and a non-disclosure agreement to sign electronically. If for some reason, you can’t make the session, just let us know as soon as you can at aj.karakus@d2l.com.

What should I expect in the session? The session will be an hour long. We’ll ask a few questions to understand your background and role. We’ll then walk-through a prototype together, and I’ll ask you to share your thoughts and expectations along the way.

What do I get out of the session? As a token of our appreciation, we will send you a gift card for $50.

What happens after the session? We can’t always follow up with you on the impact that your session had on our design, but we do take the sessions very seriously and ensure they have an impact on our product.
