It's time to schedule November's Accessibility Interest Group meeting. It's spooky how time flies! That was terribly corny. Anyway, this meeting, we have Lindsay McCardle, manager of UX research, and AJ Karakus, a UX researcher, her to talk to us about the role of UX research in D2L's product design process. At D2L, we integrate research with educators, learners, administrators, and others into the way we build Brightspace. We want to make products that are both useful and usable and connecting with the people our product impacts most helps us to ensure we're doing that. We also take an inclusive approach to research so we can work towards the goal of reaching every learner. Info about the speakers: Lindsay McCardle, PhD | Manager, UX Research Lindsay supports a team of User Experience Researchers who are conducting research on a daily basis. Lindsay draws on her background in educational psychology and pedagogy to contribute to product projects. AJ Karakus, MEng | UX Researcher To help D2L make better products, AJ conducts user experience research from planning, to collecting and analyzing data, to synthesizing and sharing insights.
