For the Higher Ed members,
The D2L Product Design team is conducting research to help us better understand the use of learning outcomes as it relates to program accreditation requirements and program improvement processes.
We’re looking for research participants who are…
- involved in managing programs that use learning outcomes,
- responsible for ensuring programs meet accreditation requirements and reporting to accreditation bodies, and
- involved in program design or program improvement efforts.
Details on the research are below, including a link to sign up for sessions. Please pass these details on to faculty or staff that would be a good fit for this research.
Best Regards,
Mike
Project Details
What is this research about? As we continue efforts to improve our learning outcomes tools, we want to get a better understanding of the role learning outcomes play at the program level. We’re interested in understanding how you’re currently using outcomes, for what purposes, and how you report on requirements related to outcomes.
When is this research happening? We will be conducting interviews starting August 20th. You can sign up for a time slot here: https://calendly.com/lmccardle/programlearningoutcomes
What do I need to prepare? There’s nothing to prepare beforehand. We’ll send you a calendar invite with a Zoom link to access the meeting. If for some reason, you can’t make the session, just let us know as soon as you can at lindsay.mccardle@D2L.com.
What should I expect in the session? The session will be an hour long. We’ll ask a few questions about your role, and then we’ll touch on the program you work in, the use of learning outcomes, and assessment of learning outcomes (if any!). We’ll dig into what and how you report on learning outcomes for accreditation purposes and how your department engages in efforts to improve programs.
What do I get out of the session? As a token of our appreciation, we will send you a gift card for $50 USD.
What happens after the session? We can’t always follow up with you on the impact that your session had on our design, but we do take the sessions very seriously and ensure they have an impact on our product.
