So, I know that D2L uses Bongo for their live video classes. However, I figured I would ask here as well. Why are Chromebooks not supported by YouseeU video seminars in D2L?????? With Chromebooks gaining in the laptop market, this disparate impact against instructors, who are required to use YouseeU seminars, is not acceptable. I know this is Brightspace's partner, but something has to be done, please! If this is the wrong group/forum, please move this question to the correct one. Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Chromebooks are supported, just not listed as such in their support matrix. Maybe because it uses Chrome OS, but basically it's a Chrome browser. I see that you've also reached out to Bongo on the blog:

Are you noticing any specific performance issues or functionality issues using Virtual Classroom or Video Assignments with a Chromebook?

Dan,
Thanks for the reply and information. So, the issue other instructors and I are having is that during the YouseeU seminar audio/microphone tests will not work and students can't hear me during the seminar. They can see video, but not audio. I believe the error code is: 1007 Ice negotiation failed.
Thanks for your response. My chromebook is a high performance laptop with 64GB, Intel Core m3-6y30 processor. They are making chromebooks very comparable to PC laptops today. I hope Bongo makes strides to work with high performance Chromebooks as instructors use more of them. Our college is surveying all instructors this semester on errors and functionality of YouseeU seminar performance experiences.

Hi Michael,
Have you opened a support ticket yet? This will enable our support team to work closely with Bongo to help find a solution. Also, please reach out to your CSM to help shepard the issue. A quick google search of the error you supplied indicates there may be some configuration issues with how WebRCT is negotiating the firewall.
