I hope everyone had a good holiday and their new year started off well.
It’s time to schedule our first Accessibility Interest Group meeting of the year. I know last year, I made a recurring meeting invite, but I think that might have caused more problems than it solved. From what I saw, Recurring meetings don’t like having their attendees changed, and every time people accepted, they got added to the invite, so if I didn’t keep an eye out, everybody’s email addresses showed up when it was time for the next meeting. If I removed them, people got all sorts of false meeting cancelation messages. Ug. If people found it helpful, maybe I’ll just send a recurring meeting invite but not put the Zoom info in it so you can have it on your calendar. Let me know what you think. And if anybody has any tips on including a list address in a recurring meeting invite without it splattering everybody’s email addresses in future occurrences of the meeting, I’d love to know the secret.
Also, there were some changes to where the list is stored. The old page was less secure than people were comfortable with, so we moved it. I hope everyone is still getting the email addresses. Everybody was moved over, and the email address is still the same, so there shouldn’t be any problems. But shouldn’t doesn’t mean isn’t.
In the meantime, here’s the info on February’s meeting.
