<h2 data-id="find-your-brightspace-username">Find your Brightspace username</h2>
<p>Your organization sends you an email containing your username for accessing Brightspace. The subject line of the email varies by organization, for example, <school name>: Enrollment Confirmation. If you did not receive an email with this information, contact your organization.</p>
<p>Once you obtain your username and password, you can Log in to Brightspace.</p>
<p>Tips:</p>
<ul><li><br> The email address you should check is the same email address that your organization account is associated with. For example, the email address may have the school name or acronym after the “<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6036482/uploads/21ZDWRSOYZH9/at-symbol-nobkg-20x18.png" alt="@ sign" class="embedImage-img importedEmbed-img"></img>” sign.<br></li>
<li>The subject line of the email varies by organization. For example, the subject line might be: <school name>: Enrollment Confirmation. </li>
<li>Passwords must be between 8 and 50 characters. For enhanced security, D2L recommends including lowercase and uppercase alphabetic characters, numbers, and symbols.</li>
<li>To easily access Brightspace in the future, D2L recommends bookmarking the log in page in your favorite browser.</li>
</ul><h2 data-id="log-in-to-brightspace">Log in to Brightspace</h2>
<p>Begin your learning journey by logging in to Brightspace!</p>
<p><b>To log in to Brightspace</b><br></p>
<ol><li value="1">On a web browser, access the URL provided by your organization.</li>
<li value="2">Enter your <b>Username</b> and <b>Password</b> in the corresponding fields. Your login information (i.e., username and password) is provided by your institution. You must check your school email to see if you received an email with your Brightspace login credentials. <br><br><b>Important</b>: Ensure that you are using your correct login credentials to avoid locking your account.<br><br></li>

<h3 data-id="troubleshooting">Troubleshooting</h3>
<ul><li>If you are entering Brightspace for the first time, you might not be enrolled yet. Wait until the beginning of the semester or term to log in.</li>
<li>You should check your enrollment status and login information with your Registrar's Office if the start date has passed and you are still unable to log in. </li>
<li>If you get a message saying your account has been locked, it implies you have tried to log into Brightspace six times without success. In 15 to 30 minutes, attempt to log in once more.</li>

<ol><li value="1">On the minibar, click your username.</li>
