Uploaded a downloaded PDF Link but Shows as Broken

I'm hoping you can help me.

I have a pdf file that shows teachers how to set up curriculum and access materials. It has pictures and steps galore. I know that it isn't accessible, however I have provided a summary of the pdf on the page.

However, I would still like to include the pdf on the page, so teachers will have option of downloading it and printing it off to follow with pictures and arrows. Is that possible?

Thanks for all this additional context. I think that instruction document looks great!

From what you've described, it sounds to me like your colleagues will be added directly into the course where you're going to host this content.

Since they're be enrolled there already, and will inherently have access to files you've created in that course, I would just load it into Content as a content item. Once it's added, you could use the direct link to that item, in the address bar and directly share it to your colleagues.

My team and I are creating a Brightspace course for a teacher.  We would like the attached pdf resource to be available to the teacher assigned to the specific Brightspace course. We are creating a "folder" entitled Teacher Resources" and one of the pages will feature information for the teacher about the curriculum she/he will use to teach. Therefore, this pdf would not be available to her/his students and it will be checked off as such.

Hope this clarifies some background.

My question as to do with this particular pdf. It's probably not accessible for students, but for teachers who need help in setting up their Ventures Curriculum, it is very visual for them. How can I make the URL link to this pdf accessible to the teacher?

Hello @Mary Eileen.M.8463, thanks for your question, and welcome to the Brightspace Community!

Since you're looking to make this document widely available for other teachers, are you thinking of sharing it from within a specific Course Offering in Brightspace? Or are you hoping that you could share it from the system level?

A few initial things to mention:

* Sharing it from a Course Offering would mean that fellow teachers will need to be enrolled into that class where it's being hosted
* If you're hoping to share from the higher system level, you'll need admin privileges to make that available, or assistance from an administrator
