Reason for the question is because we noted that in our class of 80 students, only the names of 2 students appeared in the Insights dashboard - Learners.

I had originally assumed that the name would appear if the student had accessed the assignment - but I did a test and it did not behave so. The name was reflected even though the student did not access it.

Hence, would like to understand the reason behind it. Thank you.

Setup details:

1. The LTI Advantage tool “PSchman School 1” is deployed to the org unit HL Dev Peter – School 1 (HL-DP-SECTOR-SCHOOL-1).
2. The tool contains a link called “HL DEV – Peter School 1 LTI 1.3”.
3. We have a nav bar called “Test – Nav Bar” that is made available to Every Campus under the college/school HL Dev Peter – School 1.
4. The course in question is directly under this org unit.
5. We have also explicitly added the tool deployment to the course offering.

Issue:

When opening Insert Quicklink → External Learning Tools, the link does not appear in the list. Other LTI links (both 1.1 and 1.3) do appear.

Troubleshooting so far:

• Verified the deployment scope includes the course org unit and parent org units.
• Verified the link is enabled and active.
• Confirmed that adding the course directly to the deployment does not change behavior.
• The same setup works for other LTI 1.3 tools in our environment.

Question:

Is this a known issue or limitation with LTI 1.3 Quicklinks in Brightspace? Are there additional steps required for the link to appear?

For our use case, we have a free course offering that we want to make available to only a certain subset of participants. With guidance from the Course Merchant team, we set this up as a "require verification" course so that: 1) it is listed as free; and 2) we can approve only those who should be eligible to take the course.

For users who are approved to take the courses, this has worked well so far. Once approved, the system sends a follow-up email to inform them that they are now enrolled in the course. For users who do not meet the criteria and are denied, to mark them as such we update their order status to "cancelled". In this process, no automated email from the system is sent to inform these users that their verification was rejected.

Is it possible to send an automated email upon verification rejection? Why does the system not allow for orders to be denied?

Relatedly, in order to approve an order, it seems as though you must click the "Approve" button on the list of all orders and not by updating the order status to "completed" when viewing the order details. This has led to a slight annoyance with the system as in order to verify the order, we must open it to view the details. But then to actually approve the order, we have to go back, remember the order we were just evaluating, and click "approve" elsewhere.

1. What needs to be done in order to have the IPSIS option available in my account?
2. How can we manage SIS data for course offerings?
3. How to fetch this SIS data through APIs?
4. Are there any reports available through which we can fetch this data?
