We are trying to figure out how to get a report on late/missed submissions to assignments and discussions, and course content access - for all students/courses in a term. We are unable to find a ready to use/easy to find report in the Insights Portal Dashboards.

Ideally, the report would have Course - Count of late/missed assignments - Count of late/missed discussion posts - average time spent with content - average grade

Hoping that someone else has found a way to do this and is able to share the directions.

is there any way we can see who made an account inactive? It seems to me there is no log about this, i can't find it in the Brightspace interface but also not in the datahub files…..thanks in advance!

I would like to understand an issue related to Discussions and the Gradebook in Brightspace.

When a Discussion topic is linked to the Gradebook and we later change the naming convention of that specific Discussion, the Gradebook continues to display the previous name instead of the updated one.

As a result, we are required to manually update the Gradebook item name, which is a very time-consuming process, especially when managing multiple courses and discussions. Since the Discussion is already linked to the Gradebook, we expected the updated Discussion title to automatically reflect in the Gradebook.

Could you please explain the reason for this and let us know if there is any automation or system-level solution available to synchronize Discussion name changes with the Gradebook?

Is there a way to create a personalized or user-specific navbar, where only my account—or a specific role—sees the changes, instead of the entire group using the same setup? Or is navbar editing only applied at the course/org level by default?

Can someone tell me where to find instructions for how to post questions? I can never seem to figure out what to choose for "Select a category" or figure out what is the appropriate tag to use. I hope I chose the right ones for this message.

So the example below all the courses in that semester are now inactive, this user doesn't have access to see inactive courses, yet the semester is still showing in the list of semesters.
Its creating a user experience that is very confusing for our staff that are supporting huge numbers of courses, so have been enrolled in courses across old, current and new semesters.

Plus our external support staff can see semesters from back in 2021/22 that they don't need to see anymore as those courses finished in August 2023, or due to finish in August 2024, so come 31st August all the courses in 22 semesters will be inactive.

I created Assignments but now need to hide them from specific people on the classlist.

I set the assignments to ‘hide from users’’ option, but I can still see it when I impersonate someone in the classlist that I do not want to see the assignment.

Please can you help?
