Quizzes, Accessibility & Respndus Lock Down Browser: ReadSpeaker news
Sharing a post from AHEAD earlier today by my colleague Paul Stisser:
As we all prep for Summer Sessions, I wanted to share an update and screencasts on how ReadSpeaker is compatible with Respondus LockDown Brower. I hope this helps those ReadSpeaker users and you can get the most of our solutions. I've included the screencast from our YouTube ReadSpeaker Channel.
And if your campus has subscribed to ReadSpeaker TextAid too, there is a new feature called Exam Mode that allows you to provide some popular testing accommodations remotely inside of TextAid. With Exam Mode, this allows the test coordinator to provide frequently used testing accommodations like Reader and Extended time. Other accommodations are also available upon request. With Exam Mode, you can load paper/pencil tests that can be proctored via your web meeting software and the student can annotate the exam with their answers. If the student is taking a math test, the student can write their answers (with their work) using the mouse. A pen or pocket mouse is easier to use for math than the traditional mouse.
With TextAid you have the ability to launch within Brightspace, offer the most accurate browser extensions for supporting content inside and outside of Brightspace, and a digital library to support printed content in popular document formats. TextAid also integrates with Google Docs, Office 360, and Bookshare (and yes they are a customer of ReadSpeaker too).
Please let Paul know if anyone would like additional information or a free training session. Below are screencasts of ReadSpeaker and Respondus LDB...
